Many of these railroad photographs were made with a Canon A1 with 28-85 mm macro lens or a Pentax 6x7. Images were shot on Ektachrome or Fuji film, processed, and scanned at high resolution. Contrast, color saturation, and color balance were adjusted in Photoshop.
Recently I acquired a Canon 20D and a 24-70 f2.8L lens. My initial reticence with digital photography evaporated quickly when I saw the quality of a 20x30 inch image.
I print with an Epson 9600 printer using Ultrachrome inks. Prints are available on a variety of archival papers and also on canvas or satin. Canvas prints are stretched and coated with UV protection.
